On my son Nic’s 3rd birthday I decided to give him a gift that would last him his lifetime. It wasn’t a big yellow truck, or Star Wars lego set it was the gift of giving.

We made a commitment to give back to the world every day for 365 days.

We were going to change our world – 1 GIVE – 1 DAY at a time.

On the very first day we started a blog called it 365give.

What happened next took us both by surprise. People started reading the blog and engaging from all over the world. Nic’s daily giving inspired people from all over the world to give.

On March 4, I had the honour of sharing our 365give story on The Queen Elizabeth Theater stage at TEDxStanleyPark in Vancouver.

Watch our story. Learn how you can reduce your stress and anxiety, live longer, be happy and change the world along with us.

It’s so simple a 3-year old can do it.

Our story is simple.

  1. Amazing!!!! even i have myself done some efforts to GIVE. I live in Delhi, India where i find many poor people begging for money and food.
We have this festival in India named “kanjakein” where we invite 9 young girls from within our relatives/family/neighborhood to celebrate this and give them food, gifts and money.

This year i did something different, i invited those girls who beg on the street daily for food and gave them healthy food and diary products, milk along with some money and i felt HAPPY. (Short of words) its hard to describe the emotion i had when their eyes were filled with joy and surprise.

I will do this GIVING more often, would like to be a part of this initiative of yours 🙂
